This tool calculates roof pitch (X:12), pitch factor, rafter length (for the run provided), and shingle bundles needed based on roof area and waste. It assumes 3-tab shingles (3 bundles per square).
Pitch factor is the multiplier used to convert horizontal area to sloped roof area. It depends on the roof pitch.
